The Committee

President – Glen Neville

Glen-Neville-small-2

Glen has had a long and varied career within the industrial heating sector of the H & V industry, working in both technical and sales roles throughout the UK, Europe, Asia and Africa.

His knowledge of industrial boiler systems and fossil fuel combustion technology has enabled him to enter the world of energy assessment by the previous experiential learning route. From 2008, Glen has been solely engaged in producing Energy Performance Certificates, Display Energy Certificates and Air Conditioning reports.

Glen is very concerned about skill loss within the UK, and as such supports engagement with organisations to ensure skills are passed on to newer generations of Engineers and Property Professionals. He was the first Chair of MEP, and was voted life President at our first AGM.

Chair – Rob Evans

Robin-Evans-small

Rob came into energy assessment after a life of crime! (otherwise known as 30years service in the police force!). He then followed a lifelong interest in buildings and retrained in 2007 to become a DEA. Subsequently he followed this interest by expanding into the new build EPC market and Code for Sustainable Homes. Having also had some experience as a landlord, he and his wife have also strayed into the inventory market. They live and work from home in Pershore, and have 3 married children and a grandson.

He came to MEP after reading about the group in Energy Assessor Magazine, and first attended what he thinks was only the second meeting, at Northfield ECO centre in April 2012. The rest, as they say, is history – he acted as Vice Chair last year and became Chair at our second AGM.

His aim for this year is to further develop and enhance awareness of MEP to a wider audience and to increase membership, at the same time ensuring current members get out of MEP what they expect , want and need , ie, professional and meaningful CPD, good networking and potential to develop their own businesses and interests within the EA industry.

His previous career was in logistics, working in Operations and Sales. All the soft skills learned in logistics were transferred to his new career.

Terry joined MEP in 2013 and was appointed to his present role in April 2014. His role within MEP’s committee is to grow the membership, maintain and administer the membership database, keep up to date records and an audit trail for transactions, and ensure good financial housekeeping for MEP.

Terry lives in Solihull with his partner Donna, and daughters Charlotte and Fran. In his spare time he likes hill walking and cycling.
